Process flow of single stage reverse osmosis equipment in operation:

Add coagulant to the raw water tank, remove free chlorine and organic matter from the softened water equipment through the multi-media filter of the raw water pump, and add scale inhibitor to the precision filter for ultraviolet radiation.

Raw water tank

The raw water tank is used to store raw water, reduce the impact of unstable water pressure in the raw water pipeline on the water treatment system, and allow large particles of sediment and other precipitable substances in groundwater to settle.

Adding coagulants

Coagulants are mainly used to remove colloids of small suspended particles in water. Because these particles are difficult to precipitate and remove in water. It is achieved by adding coagulants to the raw water to form large flocs of suspended solids and colloids, which are then filtered and removed by a multimedia filter. When the iron and suspended solids content in the raw water is low, pre-treatment devices cannot be used. When the content of suspended solids and colloids in water is high, it is generally necessary to add a coagulant device.

Raw water pump

The raw water pump can maintain a constant water supply pressure and stable water supply volume in the system.

Multi medium filter

The main purpose of a multi-layer filter is to remove impurities with particles greater than 20um in the raw water. Backwashing and forward flushing can be controlled by manual valves or automatic controllers. Maintain the water quality of single-stage reverse osmosis equipment and increase its service life.

Removal of free chlorine from water

Free chlorine can oxidize and destroy reverse osmosis membranes. The residual chlorine in the inlet of the reverse osmosis device is generally less than 0.1ppm. Organic matter is not only a bait for microorganisms, but also dissolves the organic membrane material when it is concentrated to a certain extent, leading to a decrease in membrane performance. There are various types of organic compounds in water, and the harm of different organic compounds to reverse osmosis membranes is also different. Therefore, in the design of reverse osmosis pretreatment systems, if the total organic carbon (TOC) content in water exceeds 2mg/L, it is generally necessary to treat it. For purification systems using tap water as the water source, activated carbon adsorption is required due to the high organic matter content in surface water.

The activated carbon adsorption method has the advantages of simple equipment, low investment, simple operation, and easy control of treatment effect, and has been widely used in single-stage reverse osmosis equipment.
