The cleaning solution of reverse osmosis membranes is a delicate and tedious task. At present, the quality of domestic membranes is not high enough, and the membranes are prone to damage after several cleaning cycles. In order to better alleviate the cleaning work, it is necessary to do a good job of pre cleaning and strictly control the water body, otherwise, the gains are not worth the losses.

The solution is to clean the circulation system with 0.1% formaldehyde solution and a concentration of 100mg/L of new Jie'er solution on time, which is less than 1 hour. Membranes that have already been environmentally polluted should be cleaned with a 2% ammonium citrate aqueous solution (pH=4-8), or with sodium hydroxide, sodium hexametaphosphate, dilute hydrochloric acid, etc. to avoid the accumulation of manganese, iron, and sulfides. Sometimes enzyme cleaners are also used to clean organic compounds. The cleaning pressure is controlled between 0.34~0.98 MPa (3.5~10 kgf/cm2), and the cleaning water flow rate is 2-3 times that of the original sewage treatment water flow rate.
