After the mixed ion exchange method is used, the exchange reaction of anionic and cationic ions in water is basically carried out separately, and the resulting H+and OH - cations immediately generate H2O. The exchange reaction is carried out very completely, and the effluent water body is good. Therefore, the mixed bed is generally connected in series behind the reverse osmosis or first stage compound bed desalination system for the production of purified water or industrial pure water.
