In recent years, the application of reverse osmosis equipment has become increasingly widespread. This equipment adopts reverse osmosis membrane separation technology, which is an important equipment for removing most of the impurities such as salt and viruses in the raw water, and is also a key treatment link to ensure the water quality of the equipment's effluent. What should be done if reverse osmosis equipment is shut down for a short or long period of time?
Protection methods for short-term or long-term shutdown: When the reverse osmosis system is shut down normally, the high-pressure pump should be stopped first, and the corresponding metering and dosing system, pre-treatment system, and related valves should be closed. When the reverse osmosis system stops running, the concentrated water in the reverse osmosis device should be flushed out by the flushing system.
Short term shutdown of reverse osmosis equipment:
After a short-term shutdown of 5-30 days, the reverse osmosis membrane remains in the pressure vessel of the reverse osmosis system, and the storage operation is as follows:
(1) Flush the reverse osmosis system with water and pay attention to cleaning the gas in the system.
(2) After filling the pressure vessel and related pipelines with water, close the relevant valves to prevent gas from entering the system.
(3) As mentioned above, clean every 5 days.
Long term shutdown of reverse osmosis equipment:
If the reverse osmosis system is planned to be shut down for more than 30 hours, the cleaning system can be used for shutdown protection measures:
(1) Prepare a 0.5-0.7% formaldehyde solution using reverse osmosis product water and adjust the pH value between 5-6.
(2) Start the cleaning water pump and flush the reverse osmosis at a flow rate of 45-58m3/h.
(3) When the formaldehyde content reaches 0.5%, the flushing water pump can be stopped.
(4) Close the inlet and outlet valves of the reverse osmosis system to ensure that the system is filled with qualified formaldehyde solution.
(5) When the reverse osmosis shutdown protection lasts for more than 30 days, items 1-4 above should be repeated to ensure equipment safety. Reverse osmosis membrane components should be stored at temperatures above 0 ℃.
(6) When the reverse osmosis system is put back into use, first flush the system with low-pressure water for 0.5-1 hour, and then rinse the system with high-pressure water for 5-10 minutes. During low-pressure and high-pressure flushing, the system's water discharge valves should be opened. Before restoring the normal operation of the system, check and confirm that the product water is free of ****** agent.
