A dense filter is a type of filter widely used in the water treatment industry. Its casing is usually made of stainless steel plate, with a single or multiple filter elements built-in. Under the influence of pressure, the source liquid passes through the filter material, and the filter residue is left on the wall thickness. The filtrate flows out through the filter material, achieving the filtering effect. Due to differences in filter materials, the filtration diameter also varies, generally ranging from 0.5 to 120 μ Category m. There are many types of filter elements for equipment, such as folding filter elements, wire wound filter elements, high flow filter elements, activated carbon filter elements, etc. Precision filters are generally installed before pressure vessels and can remove particles with a turbidity of over 1 degree, so that the inlet water meets the inlet water requirements of the downstream equipment. But after a certain period of application, the filter element may become flattened, and the main reason for this situation is:
1. The filter element has been used for a long time and has not been replaced in a timely manner
Without timely cleaning and replacement, the resistance of the source water passing through the filter element increased. During the operation of the high-pressure pump, a vacuum state occurred inside the security filter, resulting in the filter element being flattened.
Precision filters are usually replaced with a pressure difference of 0.1-0.15mpa at the inlet and outlet, and are typically replaced within 3-4 months.
2. Insufficient load-bearing capacity of filter frame
The frame has insufficient load-bearing capacity and poor compression resistance. When the pressure slightly increases, the filter element will deflate.
3. The filter element was not selected properly, and the required filtration accuracy is not appropriate
The selection of filtering accuracy is not suitable, and not all systems are suitable for filter cartridges with strong filtering accuracy. In the case of poor water quality, selecting a filter element with a diameter that is too high or a pressure that exceeds its allowable high working pressure can also cause the filter element to be flattened.
4. Inappropriate inlet pressure
The high and low inlet pressure can also cause the filter element to be flattened.
Overall, it causes the filter element to become flattened, seriously endangering the water purification effect. When selecting the filter element, full consideration should be given to the operating conditions of the filter element, selecting the appropriate filter element model and accuracy, and replacing it in a timely manner to ensure the accuracy of the effluent and the service life of the subsequent membrane components.
