The quality of drinking water directly affects the health of residents, and even their life safety. With the gradual improvement of living standards and health awareness, urban and rural residents have shown high concern for drinking water safety, and strengthening drinking water testing work has gradually been given attention. Therefore, strengthening the microbiological testing of drinking water quality is beneficial for us to grasp the current safety issues of drinking water and provide guidance for the management of health supervision departments. Below, the editor will explain the reasons for the excessive microbiological contamination in the effluent of purified water equipment. Let's take a look together.
After long-term use, pure water equipment pipelines will produce a layer of biofilm. The biofilm on the inner wall of the pipeline is mainly composed of microorganisms mixed with impurities that adsorb on the inner wall for a long time, forming a highly viscous membrane like substance that is difficult to remove. At present, the main methods for detecting microorganisms in water quality can be divided into two types: multi tube fermentation method and enzyme substrate method. Multi tube fermentation method uses the corresponding culture medium to conduct preliminary fermentation experiments on the collected samples in an environment of 36 degrees Celsius, followed by plate separation and re fermentation experiments to obtain the final results. The enzyme substrate method utilizes the production of microorganisms β The substances produced by enzyme decomposition are used to determine the presence of corresponding microorganisms in the water based on the color of the culture medium. The advantage of multi tube fermentation method lies in the absence of bacterial contamination and relatively accurate microbial detection results, while the advantage of enzyme substrate method lies in its simple operation, low environmental requirements, relatively wide detection range, and short time.
The total number of bacterial colonies in purified water exceeds the standard, and the number of molds and yeast exceeds the standard. The main reason is that the purified water equipment has not been purified and disinfected for a long time, resulting in the produced water being infected with bacteria, molds, yeast, etc. when passing through pipelines. There are also a series of problems such as the unsatisfactory pre-treatment process, changes in raw water quality, and lack of regular cleaning of reverse osmosis membranes, pipelines, and water tanks.
If the level of microorganisms in water exceeds the standard, corresponding treatment measures should be taken. The commonly used method is chlorine disinfection, which uses substances such as chlorides to sterilize the water and achieve the effect of killing and inhibiting microbial growth. In addition, ultraviolet and ozone can be sampled to inhibit the production of microorganisms in the water.
