There are still certain differences between high-purity water equipment and pure water equipment, such as differences in technology, process, size, price, etc. So, what are the characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages of high-purity water equipment compared to ordinary equipment?
The first choice of ion exchange column has the advantage of having a small initial project investment and occupying a small area, but the disadvantage is that it requires frequent cation regeneration, which consumes a lot of strong acids and bases, and has certain damage to the natural environment.
2. The second option is to use RO reverse osmosis as a preparatory treatment, coupled with ion exchange equipment. Its characteristic is that the initial investment is higher than using ion exchange column method, but the reconstruction cycle time of positive ion machine equipment is relatively longer, and the consumption of strong acids and bases is much less than simply using positive ion epoxy resin method. But it still has a certain degree of destructiveness to the natural environment.
3. The third option is to use RO reverse osmosis as a preparatory treatment, combined with electrodeionization (EDI) equipment. It is currently the most economically developed and environmentally friendly processing technology for producing ultrapure water systems. It can sustainably produce high-purity water equipment without the need for strong acid and alkali regeneration, and has no destructive effect on the natural environment. Its shortcomings depend on the relative nature of the initial project investment. The two methods are excessively expensive.
