The role of reverse osmosis membrane system and EDI system

RO reverse osmosis system:

By applying a pressure greater than osmotic pressure to the raw water through a high-pressure pump and utilizing the separation technology of RO membrane, almost all harmful substances including particles, colloids, organic impurities, microorganisms, and 99% dissolved salts exceeding 200 in the raw water are effectively separated, achieving the purpose of desalination and purification, with a pure water conductivity of 10us (raw water conductivity of 300us).

Compared with traditional ion exchange and distillation technologies, reverse osmosis technology has advantages such as small equipment volume, low energy consumption, strong adaptability, no need for acid and alkali regenerators, advanced technology, easy automation, excellent water quality, stable water quality, no microorganisms, no heavy metal ions, and no organic compounds. The discharged concentrated water is harmless to the environment and is a membrane separation technology that meets environmental requirements.

EDI system:

EDI (Electrodeionization), also known as continuous electro desalination technology, integrates electrodialysis technology and ion exchange technology. Through the selective permeation of cation and anion membranes and the exchange of ions by ion exchange resins in water, the directed migration of ions in water is achieved under the action of an electric field. This achieves deep purification and desalination of water, and the hydrogen ions and hydroxide ions generated by water electrolysis continuously regenerate the filling resin. Compared with traditional ion exchange, EDI can continuously produce high-quality ultrapure water without the need for acid or alkali chemical regeneration in the water production process. It has the advantages of advanced technology, stable effluent quality, compact structure, and simple operation.
