The difference between direct drinking water purifiers and reverse osmosis pure water purifiers
Return list source: Saint Blue Water Purification Equipment Company Release date: September 12, 2022
Water is the source of life, and our lives cannot do without it. The safety of drinking water quality is closely related to our life and health. With the continuous development of society, people have higher requirements for drinking water quality. Currently, the water purifiers with water purification functions on the market are reverse osmosis pure water machines and ultrafiltration water purifiers. So what is the difference between direct drinking water purifiers and reverse osmosis pure water machines? Let's take a look together.
1、 The working principle and purified water quality are different
Reverse osmosis water purifier: using advanced reverse osmosis membrane technology, with ultra-fine filtration accuracy, it can filter out all impurities, bacteria, viruses, etc. in water, making the effluent water more pure.
Direct drinking water purifier: Ultrafiltration water purifier uses the principles of physical filtration and adsorption to remove chlorine gas and various harmful pollutants from water, while retaining a large amount of trace minerals. The effluent quality is mineral water.
2、 Different installation and usage methods
Reverse osmosis water purifiers generally have a five stage filtration system consisting of a booster pump, transformer power supply, and water storage tank. The first stage is made of PP cotton, the second stage is a granular activated carbon filter, the third stage is a sintered activated carbon or compressed activated carbon filter, the fourth stage is a reverse osmosis membrane filter core, and the fifth stage is equipped with an activated carbon filter to improve the taste of the effluent.
The direct drinking water purifier does not need to be connected to electricity, mainly using tap water pressure and through flow filtration. Some use a stainless steel body that is resistant to high temperature and corrosion, while others are directly assembled and matched with a five stage filtration. The first stage of the five stage filtration ultrafiltration machine is PP cotton, the second stage is granular activated carbon filter, the third stage is sintered activated carbon or compressed activated carbon filter, the fourth stage is hollow ultrafiltration membrane, and the fifth stage is equipped with an activated carbon filter. The effluent water quality of the direct drinking water purifier is not as good as that of the reverse osmosis pure water machine.
3、 The functions of the two are different
Reverse osmosis water purifier: The reverse osmosis filtration accuracy is very high, which can filter out impurities, bacteria, viruses, etc. in tap water. The effluent is pure water, and the water quality of the reverse osmosis water purifier can meet the water quality standards of bottled water. The reverse osmosis water purifier can be divided into commercial and household types. For household use, it is a small water purifier that can be installed in the kitchen. For commercial use, it is a large public place with a large water output. Installing a reverse osmosis water purifier does not affect the installation of the end drinking water dispenser. The reverse osmosis water purifier is just a water making host that can transport the water produced by the reverse osmosis water purifier to each drinking point through the pipeline network.
Direct drinking water purifier: It can filter impurities, sediment, rust, etc. in tap water and retain beneficial minerals for the human body. However, direct drinking ultrafiltration water purifiers also have drawbacks, as they cannot filter heavy metals and water alkalis. Therefore, the effluent from ultrafiltration water purifiers cannot be completely consumed directly. It is recommended to boil the water before drinking.
4、 The water quality inspection standards for direct drinking water purifiers and reverse osmosis pure water purifiers are different
From the national drinking water testing standards and industry regulations, it can be seen that reverse osmosis water purifiers have corresponding removal rate requirements for soluble metal ions such as arsenic, cadmium, chromium (hexavalent), lead, etc., while ultrafiltration water purifiers do not have these requirements.
