We don't need to use water treatment equipment every 365 days, and sometimes we may need to shut it down if we don't need it, but this can also cause many problems, such as pollution. So how should we control microbial growth?
In fact, a more effective way to control the growth of microorganisms in water treatment equipment is to carry out timely disinfection and sterilization. Disinfection methods include thermal disinfection, ultraviolet disinfection, and chlorine dioxide disinfection. Choose a schedule or use methods that require timely disinfection, including thermal disinfection and sterilization, chemical disinfection and sterilization, substance reconstruction or replacement, cleaning or discharge.
1. Using no less than multiple substance filtration devices or activated carbon filters as water resources, conduct sufficient softening and washing of the filtration device to ensure that all gate valves are closed when the machine equipment is filled with water. 2. Stop using and maintaining RO reverse osmosis. The maintenance of reverse osmosis equipment mainly involves the repair and upkeep of RO reverse osmosis membranes. When the system software is shut down for more than two days, membrane components must be stored to prevent the growth and development of microorganisms. Based on the historical work experience of system software operation in the past, almost all membrane components of the system software should undergo chemical water treatment before stopping use or storage. This step is particularly crucial when the membrane is known to have environmental pollution or suspected to have environmental pollution.
The management method of water treatment equipment during the normal shutdown period (0-2 days) should refer to all normal shutdown procedures. The key is to carry out bottom pressure cleaning during shutdown, and to better avoid the growth of microorganisms, it should be cleaned every 24 hours. System software shutdown (2-25) days: The shutdown of membrane system software shall be carried out in accordance with the usual application and maintenance procedures. After shutting down, ensure that the high-pressure container is filled with pure water produced by RO production, and close all seepage, concentrated water gate valves, and production water gate valves to avoid dryness of membrane components and the growth of microorganisms. When the temperature exceeds 20 ℃, it must be cleaned repeatedly every 12 hours; When the temperature is below 20 ℃, clean repeatedly every 24 hours. During the shutdown period of the system software, the temperature is maintained between 5 ℃ and 45 ℃. Ultra low temperature is beneficial for the storage of membrane components, but system software freezing and locking should be avoided.
Due to its convenience in use, UV sterilization lamps are a popular way to control microorganisms and disinfect bacteria. Exposed to a UV sterilization lamp with controlled water flow, the UV sterilization lamp can eliminate the DNA of live microorganisms, block copies, and thus reduce the application of bacteria. In the preparation processing system software, when chlorine/chloramine and its thermal method fail or cannot be used, ultraviolet light should be applied.
During the long-term shutdown period of the water treatment equipment system software (above 25 days): refer to all normal shutdown procedures and clean the system software with commercial water bottom pressure. It is better to carry out a chemical water treatment and sterilization solution. After washing, use the RO production water bottom pressure cleaning system software until the concentrated water oxidation-reduction potential is consistent with the permeate oxidation-reduction potential.
